Clusterf*ck

As a result of profound ignorance in planning and traffic control, it can take twenty minutes to make it through this half mile stretch of 128th Street SW in Everett.

Apparently, when the roads were being designed, the concept of using cloverleafs for Interstate access was too difficult to grasp, so there are numerous places where left turns across oncoming lanes are necessary in order to get on the freeway.

One of the things that stuns me about the institutional ignorance in the PNW is that they didn’t have to have sufficient imagination to invent anything anew. They only needed to look east in order to find good solutions for things like freeway access. But no. That was simply asking too much.
